A Garden of Generations – Streetart Festival Frauenfeld

A generational project that celebrates something as special as time together in nature. Cup of Color has already engaged the residents of the retirement center in the idea's design. What truly makes the project unique are the underlying stories. It's a painting created by grandparents, parents, and grandchildren spanning an age range of 3 to 107. It illustrates how they collectively summoned the courage to express their creativity on the wall in the form of flowers, despite initial uncertainties and self-doubt.

Anna and her husband came by every day. It was always the same ritual. Her husband led her to the wall, held out a cup with color and Anna painted.

Her shaky hand became steady, her body forgot all the things it could no longer, and her flower grew bigger day by day.

At the end, she looked at her flower with pride: "Now it's good!" She only started painting when she was older, she had never done it before, her husband explained, because Anna could hardly speak anymore. It was like a treasure. And yes, you could see this treasure in her eyes.
